What is Gaia Online Gold Hacking?

Gaia online gold hacking is making reference to the currency used on Gaia Online. Although I have been asked many times if I know a way to get gaia gold for free. I think there are more important issues at hand such as the safety and security of children as young as thirteen who participate in online communities like Gaia.

First of all I will give a little background on the Gaia online community itself. It was started on February 18th 2003 by a gentleman called, "Derek Liu" and at that time was called,"Gaia Interactive." It began rather small and humble as an anime and began attracting some followers.

The owner, Mr Liu then decided that a change of direction was required as he saw more of a future for this growing community in the social gaming arena.

It's growth has been nothing short of phenomenal and in it's present form as a forum based site has more than one million posts made daily and at last count had around one billion total posts on it's website.

Gaia online also won an award in 2007 from Webware 100 in the community category.

Looks like Mr Liu knew what he was doing!

THere are many sites like gaia already online and many more popping up every week. Although gaia online seems to take their communities online safety very seriously, that cannot be said for all of them.

There has been a massive increase in cases of cyberabuse which is a generic term for cyberstalking, online fraud, child safety and many other online safety and security issues including as hacking, spyware and viruses.

With this in mind it is important that not only we are aware of the possible consequences of this type of crime, but that we also make our children aware of such issues that we feel are apropriate to their age and life circumstances.

What can we do to protect our children on interactive community type sites?

First of all go to the site that they want to join. Check all the information that the site offers on protecting your online information and indentity. It might be a clue if the site in question seems to have little documentation in respect to helping out with this issue.

Once satisfied that the site is ok, it would be a good idea to assist you child to fill out their profile. This way you can give pointers if required on what and not to put in their profile as public information.

I am taking for granted that you as a parent and most likely some type of school education program has taken the child through internet safety awareness issues like i.e. never arranging an offline meeting with someone from an online community without telling you about it and making appropriate arrangements if it is to go ahead.

For the adult it is vitally important that you take care of security for the PC that your family uses. However that is a completely different subject and can be read elsewhere on this site.

For those that feel cheated as I didn't answer the gaia online gold hacking question, you have my apologies.
